Below par TV movie with way too much artistic license

Since when did Ted Bundy become Michael Myers. Everything about this film just feels off. From the soundtrack which sounds like it’s come straight out of a Halloween film, to the silly setpieces, American Boogeyman is a film which actually starts off with a lot of potential.
In the early stages, we see Bundy stalking and taking out vulnerable women and some of the scenes are very creepy and unsettling, but then as the film moves along, it becomes quite farcical, right down to the moment he is being shot at by police and manages to magically evade bullets and actually escape from a room in impossible circumstances.
Chad Michael Murray isn’t too bad in the main role. He’s creepy yet alluring, something Bundy used to his advantage but it all just becomes a little too cliched and a silly representation of a horrible time in American history. I’ve not seen many Ted Bundy films, but I expect they are all better than this.
